Panasonic VieraWidescreen Plasma TV Model No TH42PA50A - Power standby mode and tripping off automatically, Please help

Hi there, It has been year since I dont have problem any more with Plasma, suddenly my Plasma TV is getting in standby mode and it turns of automatically with RED light- aledy (redlight -near ON/OFF Switch of TV)keeps constinously blinking To restore back for temporary solution, i switch off the power completely and switch back again, It blinks for sometime and plays very well for first 40 minutes, then it goes again in standby, then when i do the same process , this works for 10 minutes and then it goes to stand by I checked all the setup menu , and made sure that the OFF TIMER is not activated I am out of warranty and now I called a servce centre , they give my high quotes to just see for inital investigation I doubt wether a change in power cord can save the problem , I am from australia, and there are no current fluctuations in my area, Please advise Thanks and regards Satish power goes off immediately

My TV remains in standby mode and it is not possible to turn the TV on anymore. The red standby light blinks exactly 10 times, then 3 seconds nothing and then blinks 10 times again.....

Did anyone receive a solution for this ??

    Thanks !

Hi, this is an issue with a sensor on the power module. To fix it you must replace that part.

Hi I have a panasonic viera TH-42PA50A blinking red light and it just keeps blinking any ideas what it could be

it is not a good sign. If the tv screen is dark (no picture) and no sound but the standby red light is continuously blinking then it could mean the power supply board in tv is faulty.

Usually a few burnt out capacitors on the board but hard to replace yourself unless you are experienced in this sort of work. From the model it appears a reasonably recent unit and you may want to get it checked out by a repairer at least to get an estimate of the cost.
See this site to get some idea of the part costs.

The TV will not turn on. Something tripped the breaker and now the TV will not even go to standby mode

Hi,

The power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this helpout in solving the problem...

THERE is a problem with my panasonic plasma tv the model # is TH-42PX80U I THINK IT IS ON SLEEP MODE OR IT IS on standby mode or i think it is on sleep mode with a password to unlock it from sleep mode

We should try a hard restart first, unplug the tv for a couple of hours then try again. Let me know how it goes and please rate this solution. lone99star
