Found New Hardware MTP Device. Pop-Up

Well I got one of these Coby MP3's and I had no problems with it up until now. One night I tried to change my songs but when I got on Windows Media it showed I had no device connected. The little balloon in the bottom right corner popped up saying "Found New Hardware MTP Device" as it did the first time I got songs from W.M. but this time it wouldn't show up. I closed the balloon and it popped up again and again repeatedly every time I closed it. Now when I remove the MP3 player it says in the balloon "Found New Hardware, A problem occurred druing hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly." And worst of all it already removed ALL my songs that I DID have on there so now I have no songs and no way to get them on. Please help. computer did not recognize sandisc sansa clip mp3 player, player was plugged in to usb, and charging. tried installing in msc and mtp also tried autodetect, attempted to install as a generic mtp device, error messages and continuous pop-up of baloon stating "new hardware found" device manager shows a problem, uninstalled media player 11, reinstalled, repaired the install, uninstalled the firmware updater, reinstalled. This computer however, still doesn't recognize the device

Try changing mp3 firmware to MSC mode.
MTP is a protocol developed by Microsoft that just sucks and makes one million of help requests like yours.

Try going into the Menu on the Coby player and changing the MTP to MSC (I believe that format should work). The computer should then recognize it and work. Let me know how this works out for you.

Sony mp3 player NWZ-E436F syncing problem with PC with Windows xp. Found new hardware: MTP device detected but then this pop up came up 'Found new hardware'; A problem occured during hardware...

please visit the following site and download the transfer and media management software. If you decide to update the firmware, please read the instructions on the page carefully and print the instructions before you begin. An improper firmware update can ruin your machine. The software should be no problem.

A Pop-Up always says me New Hardware MTP Device I don't want to see it. My OS: Windows XP professional SP 3

Do you keep inserting the Mp3 into a different USB port? Try using the back panel USB ports instead of the ones in the front of your case, and always use the same.

Computer cant open sansa clip

Make sure the lock switch isn't engaged.
Double-click My Computer, and see if there is a Sansa icon (some computers will only show it as a removable drive or an MTP device).

If the computer is not recognizing the player:
disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

I have a sansa clip media player and my computer does not recognize it how can i fix this

You can get any missing software from Sandisk's website if you have lost your installation CD.

Another way to force recognition:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in.

My computer isn't detecting my Sansa mp3 player anymore.

First, make sure the lock switch isn't engaged.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + (or Record) button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + (or Record) button in. Keep holding the volume + (or Record) button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start --> Control Panel-->System--> Hardware--> Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

MY sansa e260 MP3 player

Try to add the device manually.

Plug the player in while it’s set to "MTP" mode. (This selection is in the Settings area)

On your computer, open Device Manager, and select: Add Hardware.

Choose the "already connected the hardware" option.

From list, choose "Add a new hardware device".

Select: "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list."

Select: Portable Devices, then MTP device.

Hope it works for you.
