Question about Computers & Internet
I have been locked out and I can get nowhere on my screen. I keeps asking password. I have never set a password.
This generally indicates a failed hard drive, or on occasion, a failed motherboard component. Try reformatting the hard drive and installing a new operating system. If the drive will not format, using a full NTFS format, not the quick format, then the drive has failed and will need replaced. If the machine won't allow you to get to the boot menu to do the format/install, then the security chip on the motherboard has malfunctioned. Unfortunately, the security chip will be an issue that you will either have to send it to IBM to have fixed, or replace the motherboard.
