HP p6530uk, unable to start OS when loaded to new hard drive. Says, "cannot be installed on this computers Hardware" yet I am trying to install win 7 which is what it had on originally.

is it the same size hard drive? You may have a problem with what is called the branding of the main board. What that means is the mother board has information programmed into it that tells the restore disk that it belongs to that system and what it needs to load on to that system for a factory restore. Most of the disks have programs the go to other systems of the same series so they make 1 disk for the series and then program it to only load the programs that came on that system. You would need to take it to someone who can get the program to see if that is the problem after they rebrand the system.

Recover data form hard disk

What is wrong with yoru hard disk?

If you can't access your files, data recovery program can help.I used this one called Tenorshare Data Recovery to retrieve files off crashed HDD and it worked.
If needed, you can download it and scan your hard drive for free to preview whether your files can be recovered.BTW, you can get it from
Tenorshare Data Recovery for Windows Users
Tenorshare Data Recovery for Mac Users

Can't get it detected?

Turn the computer off without the external hard drive being plugged in.
plug the external hard drive in a usb port, power up, the systems post boot up will find the drive and inform windows what hardware is installed.
When windows boots up, it will look at all the hardware and find the external hard drive, when windows finishes booting up you should be able to see the drive in my computer.

How do I disconnect (uninstall) a WD External Hard Drive from my computer? I am using a WD 3200AAK WD External Hard Drive and want to install a 1 TB WD External Hard Drive. I would like to use the old one...

External hard drives don't need any program installed on your computer to run. Your operating system Windows, Linux should handle it as soon as you plug the usb in your computer. The programs included in your WD external hard drive are tools to backup your data.

If you try to hook up your hard drive to a Windows prior to XP, maybe your computer will not handle it.

It is always safer to safely remove your drive using the green arrow icon in the lower right corner of your screen. This way, the drive is shut down properly and you minimize chances of fails when you plug it again on another computer.

Hope this helps!

I have recently attached a seagate hard disk with my pc already have a sata . the 2nd one is not detecting, help me

You have to initialize and format a drive before you can use it. A brand new unformatted OEM hard drive and installed it in my Windows Vista PC. The drive is connected to the motherboard via a SATA (serial ATA) cable, just like my original hard drive. This new drive was for data/backup. When I turned on the computer, the BIOS picked it right up. However, when I got into Vista, it did not detect any new hardware. I even went into the Control Panel and chose Add Hardware and let it scan for changes, but it didn’t find anything new. Windows Plug and Play If your drive isn't detected, there is no need to panic. Windows Vista is a little funny about this sort of thing, but it is quite easy to fix. The problem is that the drive is not initialized, so the standard plug-and-play procedure for adding a drive does not apply. First, you must initialize the drive, then it will allow you to format it. After the drive has been formatted, it will be ready to use.
The first thing you need to do is go into the Control Panel, then double click on Administrative Tools. After that, open up Computer Management, then go to Storage, then Disk Management. This is where you will see all of your drives listed. Be extremely careful in this section because you don’t want to screw up your main hard drive.
What you are looking for in the Disk Management area is your new hard drive. If you only have one hard drive, it should show up as Disk 0. Therefore, your new drive should most likely be Disk 1. Underneath the name Disk 1 it should say Unknown, the size of the disk, and Not Initialized. Right click in this area and you should get a pop-up window. Click Initialize Disk and it should only take a couple of seconds. Your hard drive is now ready to be formatted. Formatting Your Drive Once your new hard drive is initialized, you will still have to format the drive before you can use it. To format, right-click in the column to the right of the Disk 1 label and then click New Simple Volume in the menu that pops up. From here, you can allocate how much of the drive you want for a new volume, what drive letter you want to call it, give it a name, and finally format the hard disk.
Formatting the hard drive may take a while, depending on the size. My 500 gigabyte drive took nearly an hour to format, so don’t be alarmed if your's takes a while. Once the format completes, your new hard drive will now show up in My Computer and you can start putting files on it.

Sanyo VPC-s500 i cant get it to install drivers or find them so i can upload pictures to my computer

The simple solution to this problem is that no drivers are required. This camera is treated as a removable (secondary) drive just as if it was a USB thumb drive or external hard drive.
First go to settings on the camera by rotating the dial to the wrench icon.
Turn the camera on and select Set-Up 2
Select USB
Select PC
Your camera is now ready to use with your computer.
Now plug your camera into your computer and check under My Computer for the drive to show. You can now copy files over to your computer from the camera.
If the drive isn't showing you'll have to go into Disk Management to view it
Disk Management is under Administrartive Tools located in your Control Panel (or Start Menu if you have it set to show there)
Select Administrative Tools
Computer Management
On the left hand side click Disk Management (or on the right click Storage then Disk Management)
Finally you can now Right Click the cameras drive and chose Open
