We just purchased the Graco Snugride and were trying to install it in my Nissan Sentra. We followed all of the instructions (even using the LATCH system) and no matter how snug the base is in the car seat we noticed that it will lift up from the seat. It doesn't move side to side or forward but it lifts up easily. Is this normal or are we doing something incorrectly?

Re: Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat
HI! I've had 3 babies and alwyas use the Sungride! My presonal trick......First, be sure to roll up a towel (try different sizes for the perfect fit) and push it under by the seat crease (where the back cushion and seat cushion meet). Then, when you are pulling the belt to make it tighter, put your knee in it to add some weight and really get it tightened! I'm sure you'll notice a world of difference! :)

We have designed many of our car seats to work with more than one base, for your convenience. Please see the chart here for Classic Connect models.
The SnugRide Click Connect 30, 35, 35LX and 40 infant car seat carriers are compatible with any SnugRide Click Connect infant car seat base. Consumers should adhere to the height and weight requirements for the SnugRide Click Connect infant car seat carriers as stated in their owner's manual; however, the SnugRide Click Connect 40 infant car seat carrier is restricted to a height limit of 32 inches when used with a SnugRide Click Connect 30, 35 or 35LX base.
Fitting your Graco Snug Ride infant seat into a Graco stroller is usually easy to do -- the exact instructions just depend on which stroller you have. Typically, all you have to do is fold the stroller's canopy back, recline the seat (if it reclines), and snap the car seat in (backwards -- facing the rear of the stroller). You can hear it lock in place when it's in correctly. Your stroller's manual will have specific instructions, and if you don't have the manual you can find it online.
