Question about Epson Stylus Photo R200 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Print quality I recently purchased a Dell 530 comp with Windows Vista. I have a Epson Stylus Photo R200 printer. Since I have attached the printer to my new comp., the print quality is faint and unlegible. I have installed an updated driver. This didn't seem to fix the problem. Do you have any other suggestions?

It is possile that your driver is for XP only, if you can confirm that it is running very well previously w/c i suspect try downloading a letest version in Vista platform,

wrong driver can sometimes do this

hope this helps

I keep getting the message "the epson printer driver dealing with cd printing is not installed" when trying to print onto a CD. I have an Epson Stylus Photo R200 using Windows 7. I am working with Print CD...

Try to troubleshoot compatibilty. Right click the program icon of print cd then click troubleshoot compatibility, click try recommended settings, click start the program, click yes to run the program, if it works save the setting. If it doesn't work try to download print cd version compatible with windows 7.

Epson Stylus Photo R200 and R320 Status monitor in Vista

I was able to install the original XP status monitor from the CD, onto Windows Vista Home Premium.

On the install cd, you need to open the 'STM3' folder under whatever language you are installing, 'English' in my case. There are several .exe files in that folder:

For each of these, right click on the file, and choose 'Properties'. Under the 'Compaitbility' tab, choose 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' - Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Then run the 'STMSETUP.EXE' file, and it should install properly, and work. Although I cannot guarantee that it will work on your system, or that it will not have any negative effects on your computer.

So far, I have not had any trouble with it.

Try visiting Epson website...look for support link for drivers...then find your printer and operating drivers and install....install program should provide directions..generally it will direct you to make sure printer cable is not connected to pc until install program tells you to do so. You can also do a google search for "epson stylus photo r200 drivers for vista", chances are you'll find a site from the results...good luck

No printer information

Follow these steps to set up your Epson product and install the built-in Windows Vista drivers:
  1. Set up your computer.
  2. Connect your Epson product to your computer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions that Windows Vista displays to guide you through product driver installation.
You need to use a program that can do printing multiple pictures in just one click.
