DURABRAND TELEVISION WITH NO REMOTE

I HAVE A RCA UNIVERSAL REMOTE THAT WORK FOR MY PHILLIP DVD PLAYER BUT IT WILL NOT WORK FOR MY DURABRAND TELEVISION, WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG WITH MY TELEVISION?

    my durabrand tv works but it wont respond to my rca universal remote. and i know the rca remote works because i tried it on my phillip dvd player. what might be the problem?

    I lost my remote to my duraband tv and i can't get any universal remotes to work it. My son is now not able to watch dvd's on his tv because we can't get to the input screen without the remote.

    i can get the code to work for my rca remote but the remote is all fucked up the volume keys make the menu pop up everythng is all mixed up

Durabrand tv's were made for Walmart by Funai, Haier, and Orion. Look under those names for codes.

I have an RCA 52 " projection TV thats now 6 years
you have to run theater system eather through your vcr or your dvd player for mor out put jacks and input jacks on older tvs but the thing is your dvd player remote will be your tv remote the same as your vcr remote.

No way, all chinese DVD players has near the same remotes but with mixed buttons, finding a match or programming a universal remote is near impossible.

However, one posting reads:

I have a RCA universal remote, (sold at Walmart)
Sanyo code #1189 works on my Duraband TV

So, try 1189 to see if that works

Looking for remote code
I wish I had the code, but no. If it is forthcoming then it will be via a hacker, or someone who gets lucky. I just got an email back from lenoxx customer service (the guys who made the 1002 ... at least, the one I have) and they have gone bankrupt:
Date: Tue Jan 1 01:05:58 2008 From: <[email protected]> Sorry but Lenoxx Customer Service has closed due to bankrupcy.(sic)

I too have a remote that no loger works; one of the components snappped off (past repair) while my wife was simply changing tracks on a cd.

So, come on you hackers, there are people in need and as usual, we have no one else to turn to!

Durabrand model BH2004D
I am not sure about Direct TV but dish network does not allow the hookup to go through their box...it must go through the TV only. Speaking with Duraband at 1-800-256-2487 confirms you have to have a Duraband remote and universals won't program to it. Ask for parts dept. and order a new remote. Sorry - not good news for me either!!!
