It's asking for the radio switch to be turned on. Some machines have an actual button or slide type switch, it will be marked with a wireless icon that looks like an antennae with waves coming from the top. Machines that don't have a manual switch can be turned on and off by the utility program that controls the wireless card. There are several different ways of doing this depending on the program. If there is an icon on the right hand side of the task bar for the wireless configurator, right click on it and see if it has the option of turning on or enabling the radio. If there is no icon, but there is a program for the wireless, then open the program and look to see if the radio option is there. You may have to open an advanced tab to find it. If Windows configures the wireless and there is no program, then open the device manager, and in the wireless card properties you will find the radio options to enable it. Now, if the radio is enabled, but you have the same problem, then this is a driver glitch, and you will need to uninstall the wireless drivers and reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers automatically. I know this sounds difficult and it can be rather frustrating, so if you have problems finding the radio enable options, just go straight to uninstalling the drivers. This generally clears it up.
