Question about Microsoft Wireless Optical Notebook Mouse 4000
Installed an MS 4000 optical mouse on my Toshiba satellite. The optical mouse works great but the computers built in mouse pad no longer functions either with the optical mouse on or disconnected. Is there a way to get my built in mouse pad functioning. It's sometime handy to have and also don't want to be totally dependent on the plug in optical device.
Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.
Hope this helps. Bud

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
