Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
I have a DVD player that does the same thing, and found that there is a problem with the optical reader board. It does it on any newer DVD, but will play it perfectly if I burn a copy of the DVD from my laptop. After researching the problem, the only fix is to replace the faulty board, but it's about $60 more than I can buy a new DVD player for. So, I continue to burn a quick copy. I'm going to say that this is the same problem that you have. If the machine is new enough, you might try the warranty option.
