Question about Panasonic Projection Televisions

2 Answers

We have a Panasonic DVD player, Model DVD-S29, Serial No. VA5GB006851 and a Panasonic TV, Model PV-M2035, Serial No. H5AA23676. Recently, when trying to play a new disc of The Tales of Narnia, the picture oscillated from very dark to light. How do we prevent this? We tested the disc on another Panasonic DVD player, and the picture was perfect.

Haven't received any solution - just a window that says Solution #1

How can we read the solution? So far we've been told there is Solution #1, but we don't see the answer.

I have a DVD player that does the same thing, and found that there is a problem with the optical reader board. It does it on any newer DVD, but will play it perfectly if I burn a copy of the DVD from my laptop. After researching the problem, the only fix is to replace the faulty board, but it's about $60 more than I can buy a new DVD player for. So, I continue to burn a quick copy. I'm going to say that this is the same problem that you have. If the machine is new enough, you might try the warranty option.

You should be able to see them in the "my problems" section when you log in. You have checked micromaster as fixing your problem, you may want to contact fixya in order to get this changed so that your problem can be answered correctly.

I recently purchased a KDL-40W5100 LCD Digital Color TV. I gives a great picture, but when I turn on my Panasonic DVD connected to it I get a blue snowy picture (it worked fine on the old TV)Can you help?

Hi,
This may be due to a setting on the dvd player itself. What kind of tv did you have previously? Also what kind of connection are you using to hook up the dvd player to the tv? Lastly, if you have the model number for the dvd player it will help if/when you need further assistance.
Thank you,
Lee

I am in Australia and have just bought a DMR BW500. I have a dvd from Japan which won't work on it and I have been told that if I unlock the region code, then it will work. So how do I unlock the region...

The following works on a region 4 player. With no disc in the player and the drawer closed, press stop, stop, setup, then 3,8,8,8,3 and the desired region code, (0 for multiregion). Nothing will appear on screen. Then switch the player off and back on. It should now play discs for any region

PANASONIC COMBO TV DVD VCR,REMOTE CONTROL NOT WORKING,NEW REMOTE CONTROL STILL INOPERATIVE,SUSPECT INFRARED RECEIVER IN TV,NEED SCHEMATIC OF A PV-DM2792 TKS

You can try replacing the remote receiver inside the set. This should be a small silver box located in the front of hte set. It should have 3 leads soldered to the board. The part number is:
LSSZ0004 and costs about $5.
