Do not understand how to match the jumpers of the remote to the DIP switches of the receiver. Not sure how to tell which is on or off.

I understand 240v to be 240 volts. of electricity- no vacuum should have 240v. that amount is used on elect. stoves, air conditions,welding machines and large electic appliances. Check the belt drive and the manual for the green light operation- I still don't understand the 240v deal.

If no luck there, any power switch from another 120V product should work as long as the wires match. If you have a normal 2 wire switch, you should be fine. Be sure the amps on the new switch match the old and the terminals are the same size (don't try to force a small terminal onto a large one). Also, be sure that if you use another switch, be sure the terminals are wrapped or protected to keep them from shorting out if they were to fall off. With a little plastic modification, you sure can fit a square switch into a round hole lol. Good luck.

there should be jumpers on 3 of the 4 locations in the control. moving them makes the control match the receiver in the fan. If you dont know how the fan is jumped you will just have to try combinations. I think the default setting is 123 jumped, 4 open..

First, you didn't say you checked that the bulb worked. Is that burned out?

If bulb is ok, you will have to make sure the switch is matched with the fan (ususally a set of 4, 6 or 8 micro-switches have to be set the same in both switch and fan to be on same frequency of communication - even if you have an exact US 9051T controller).

A whole new fan is not too expensive ($100) and may be best route if you use the fan alot and it is over 7 years old - just an option.

Also, just because the light doen't work doesn't mean it is the switch transmitter that is broken, it could also be the receiver. Call the company on the website below - they will either tell you how to check or you can send everything to them and they will check for you.

i got a new remote switch box to put inside the fan, wiring in the lights was a snap but i have a red pink grey and yellow wire that control the fan and i should have tested the wires before i unplugged and re wired the light because the fan was running on low speed when we flipped the switch on thewall sending power to the fixture itself now i suppose there are only 16 different combonations to send power to the fan unless you factor in that maybe the red and pink are high and low respectivly and grey is "close" to black and yellow is white then you gotta have a switch to go high or low, God save us all and bless the person who can tell me what the other 4 wires go to

You can buy a fan remote at Home Depot, Lowe's,or Menard's basically any one of the big box stores. If they do not have the one used with your fan,you buy a universal remote. Follow the instructions in the box make sure you shut the power off as you may get shocked or burn up he control

Red and white are twisted together,or however you combine wires.I use plastic wirenuts.Always twist clockwise as the wirenuts are most effective that way and the wires will stay together better.Black/white,yellow,and gray are the speeds yes,and the fan wires go to the receiver wires.It sounds like you do not have the receiver?If it isn't already built in,it should be small enough to fit within the smallest part of the fan base.The remote is the transmitter.Here is a link to show you the wiring.Red&white twist together for house power.Black for house ground.It also shows a THIN WHITE wire for the antenna.It is not necessary to hang it outside of the casing.You should make it spread out around the inside in a full circle,that should be fine.Just not wrapped tightly around the motor,loosely is better.It does show the antenna wire hanging out in the diagram.You can do that also,just make sure it isn't hit by the fan,and it will not cause a fire if pinched by the plate.If you do have all the wires connected,it shows that the dip switches on the receiver must match.Make sure the remote has the battery removed when changing these.When they are correct,there is no way to tell what the fan is set to and it could start moving.The dip switches are equivelant to radio stations.If you want 101.9FM,but it is set to 101.1FM,it won't come in.When the switches match,you are tuned in and hear 101.9FM.If you need more help,just comment here and I will get an autolink to your post and reply ASAP.Good luck,Greg The link looks universal for Hunter fans,all wired the same.

This is under vacuums. But I am sure that you are talking about a cell phone. So try dialing *228 and press send. Then listen to the prompts. This will reprogram your phone. If this does not work. Try *611

First, be sure you did not change one of the dip switches in the hand held unit while changing batteries. You would have to see if the switches in the hand held unit match the switch positions in the fan receiver.

Hampton Bay fans are sold exclusively by Home Depot. I would check on line or stop by one of their stores to see if you can pick up a HB remote. Once you get a new remote you have to again make sure the dip switches are in the same position. Paul

The "plug" light simply tells you the machine is plugged in and receiving power.
I'm not sure what you mean by "no power to the bottom of the roller". If the power nozzle motor isn't working, make sure nothing is wrapped around the brush, remove if there is, and press the reset switch.
If the power nozzle motor is running, but the brush isn't turning, then the belt must have broken, and needs to be replaced.
Considering your machine may still be under warranty, I suggest taking it to a local Aerus dealer and having it replaced.
