Bosch Hammer drill. When drilling, the bit hit a rebar and feels like it permanently warped the chuck. Is this possible, or did the motor shaft bend? the motor runs fine, but the bit does not run true. thanks, Mark

I would say that the motor shaft is probably bent and will need replaced.there are bosch service centers all over unfortunatly the price of parts especieally if it is a older unit can be almost what the unit costs.Sorry I'm not more help as I have several bosch tools in my shop and they are top quality tools. However I also have an old 65# electric breaker out there that is gathering dust because it has a cracked armature and the parts alone to fix it are in excess of $800.00. Best of luck to you and thanks.

Drillbit stuck

Can not see what model you have. Is it a keyless chuck or an SDS chuck? With a keyless chuck hold the machine in a vice by the drill bit. now tap the chuck with a hammer or pin punch & hammer. DONOT hit the chuck on the jaws gut on the rim around them. I have had success using this method. If it is an SDS type chuck pull the chuck cap up as far as possible along the bit them if there are any ring springs you will have to try remove them then slide the sleeve up the bit, now you should be able to remove any steel balls. If the bit does not come out now hold bit in vice as before and tap on tool holder.

On my BOSCH CSB 470-RLE 470w electric drill the chuck is slipping i can hold it in my hand and it wont move

It is a spring loaded hammer drill. You need to push the chuck down just a bit for it to engage the clutch. If it is still slipping then either the clutch pieces (items 23 and 32) are worn or item 32 is spinning freely on the spindle shaft. Here is a parts diagram.

Need to replace the chuck on a Bosch 1194 VSR Model number 0 601 194 739

open the jaws of the chuck up all the way. There is a retaining screw at the bottom ( under where the drill bit would go). this screw is reverse thread. once the screw is out, get a 3/8 inch allen wrench. chuck the short end into the drill chuck. set the drill on a workbench with the chuck hanging off the edge a bit. Hit down on the allen wrench with a hammer ( counter clockwise) and the chuck will unscrew normal thread.

A bit is stuck in the chuck of my Bosch drill

Hello. Wrap a towel around the chuck and use a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks to put a little force on the chuck. J.

The quick clamp chuck on my bosch 600 has seized up and I can't remove the drill bit. Any suggestions please

Hit a metal part of the clamp chuck to just create a "shock" using a hard rubber-hammer (or a metal hammer if the rubber one fails) one or two times. Chuck grip will loosen on the bit for you to remove it.

Bit or chuck type for a Skil 717 hammer drill

I have a Skill 717, too. It has a hex shank. Here are a couple places that I've located that carry (some) parts:

www.bamanufacturing.com/page_15.htm

Damaged chuck

Grasp chuck, reverse it until fully open. Look inside where bit goes and should be an allen head or torque head screw holding chuck to motor arbor/shaft.

My drill bit doesn't remain secure in the chuck of my drill.

grind bits shank in a triangle to let the drill chuck get a better hold of bit but be carfule because this also takes away the drills ability to slip if it hits something solid.

Bosch 18volt brute force cordless drill how do i remove chuck

Put the screw back in the chuck, tighten it up then back it out 1 turn. Take a punch, put it in the chuck and give it a quick hit with a hammer. That should do the trick.
