The mcbr360s does not turn on but the compressor is getting hot could this problem be the power switch or etc.

Power off and remove all fluff under the fridge.
Compressor can be hot but not too hot. Are the settings ok for desired level cold. Is the fridge too heavily loaded? Try now.

Most likely door switches. Companies these days use switches with small 3/16 terminals and they tend to get hot and make the switch go bad. When I replace them I put in a 20 amp rated switch with 1/4 inch terminals, and a short section of better wire to the switch. If you make better connections it stops the wires from getting hot and the switch will last a long time.

Where you say that it appears to operator, do you mean that the compressor is working? If so, then your condenser grills might be dirty and causing the unit not to cool effectively. Is the sides or back of the unit getting hot? If so that could be the cause - a cleaning of the condenser coils.

But if your compressor is not kicking on or is very hot to the touch, then it might not be operating correctly. If it is not activating then it could be the contactor-relay or start capacitor.

The sound you describe is probably the relay trying to start the compressor and the overload clicking on and off when the compressor does not start. Turn the control for the refrigerator off for about 1 hour and turn it back on. If the compressor starts the relay and overload should be replaced, the compressor is probably good. There is a new product that eliminates all three components.

There is no emergency switch to turn the microwave off if it gets too hot, but there are several fuses inside which may have "blown". If nothing is working at all i.e. no light , no turntable, no heat it sounds like the main fuse has gone. With the outer casing off, follow the main power cord into the microwave and within about 5 or 10 cm from where the cord enters there should be a fuse ( generally glass) the size of the fuse will be printed on the end caps of the fuse.

Well worth repairing.

IF THE COMPRESSOR IS TO HOT TO TOUCH WITH YOUR HAND MORE THEN LIKELY THE REED VALVES IN THE COMPRESSOR ARE PASSING HOT GAS BACK INTO THE COMPRESSOR AND HAS DAMAGED THE UNIT. MY ADVICE IS TO LOOK ON TOP OF THE COMPRESSOR GET THE MODEL# & SERIAL # & MAKE AND LOOK ON LINE AND GET A PRICE FOR A NEW COMPRESSOR, PENDING ON MAKE AND MODEL THEY RUN AROUND 3-4 HUNDRED DOLLARS JUST FOR COMPRESSOR INSTALL CAN COST MORE THEN THE COMPRESSOR UNLESS YOU KNOW SOME ONE WHO HAS THETOOLS TO DO IT RIGHT

Maybe you should first by checking the fuse to the unit.Look around where the power cord come into the unit.The fuse may be blown.

If the turntable is not turning, you will get hot spots and uneven heating.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

Yes, t's most likely a broken tab on the top door switch mount.

The quickest way to fix this is is to clean the area where the top switch mounts, hold it in place (like with a toothpick, etc.) and the use hot glue or epoxy to secure it.

Leave it overnight, then remove the toothpick.

Otherwise, you can get a new door switch mount (door hook) from Tritronics at http://www.wehaveparts.com

But I usually don't recommend that job to a DIYer because it takes a while and you may end up with a door misalignment that will result in leakage.
