I have an HP LaserJet 1022 (USB to Windows XP Pro SP2) that was working earlier this week, but now its printing blank pages. It just feeds pages the pages through without printing anything on each print job. I tried reinstalling the drivers, printing test pages, and I even changed the cartridge, but its not printing. It was printing a few days ago. Any ideas?
I had this same issue, are you able to print from the printer's internal test feature? If so try turning the power off for at least 10 seconds. This is just at temporary fix I am still looking for a permanent fix that does not involve replacing the printer.

You need to reinstall the printer driver.
First check which operating system is used with your product? After that download the software from Download Full Feature Software and Drivers. How to Uninstall the printer Software :- Follow the steps below to remove the hp LaserJet 1020 series software from the computer:
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
For the Windows Desktop, click Start , click Programs or All Programs , and then clickhp LaserJet xxxx series .
Click Uninstall hp LaserJet xxxx series .
Follow the messages on the screen to remove the software.
Reboot the computer when instructed.

After restart install the printer driver and follow the screen instructed.
one thing you can try is, what kind of usb cable do you have? this printer needs to have a high speed 2.0 usb, because laserjet printer send alot of information and a reg. usb is not going to work.
Next you need to have the printer connected to a wall outlet, if you have the printer connected to a power strip, the printer doesnt get enough power thus you have the printer doesnt get constant power.
finally, you can just remove and reinstall the printer software on to the computer.
Laserjet 1022 printe supports printing through the Laserjet 6L drivers and its tested, please select the same USB port for the Laserjet 1022 printer which is selected for the Laserjet 6L printer and then try printing.
