Question about Cameras
my canon ixus 85015 appears to have a glitch. it will not allow me to put an avi onto iphoto. it is only one particular avi. all other avis and regular pics have gone onto iphoto with no problem.
any assistance greatly apreciated.
iphoto is just for still photos. Use a card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop. Double click on the video and Quicktime will play it. You can use imovie to edit it.

Testimonial: "I have not yet tried typrice's advice, but he was certainly accommodating in answering my second question -- quick, too! Excellent service!"
Here's the link for the owners manual: http://vault.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/OM%20IVA-D300.PDF The wiring diagram is on page 70-71.

SOURCE: hw to play avi files
Unfortunately your phone can't play .avi files. The only video formats it supports are .mp4 and .3gp. You will need to convert your .avi file to one of the two file formats I mentioned in order to watch the video on your phone. Good luck!

You need to convert avi files to dvd format before burning, otherwise the player won't recognize them. Google "avi to dvd" and you'll find a number of free or pay programs that will do the conversion for you.
