What do I need to use keyboard #3169WW to my palm TX? And how do I hook it up? Thanks for any information.

The "Getting Started" booklet essentially says the following, but I'm restating it just in case.
If you lack this booklet and/or the "User Guide," you can download them from the following:
http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/keyboards/palmuniversalwirelesskeyboard/unlocked/home/page_en.html

The keyboard comes with an installation disk that you run on your PC or Mac.  Do so.
It will set up a program called keyboard.prc to be installed on the T'X at your next HotSync.

After the HotSync, unfold the keyboard, add batteries, and place the T'X onto it.
Run "keyboard" on your T'X and it should connect.  You'll be able to set preferences and shortcuts.

Using the desktop, is there anyway to move(either to the memory card or the PC) or delete files on a Palm TX. I apparently used to much of the devices memory and now I can't ge to the home screen(it...

If you're able to hotsync, then yes. In the desktop, delete notes or other items (Does the TX have voice memos? Those would be a quick way to free up a lot of space!)
Perform a hotsync, and your Palm should then have some free memory.

If you're not able to hotsync, then nothing you do in the Desktop will have any effect on the Palm.

But, I'm skeptical that this is the real problem. It sounds more like memory corruption, and a hard reset is going to be the real fix.

Bought TX but have no desktop software cd

HI,
Yes if you go to palm.com you will find a section for support. You can download everything you need there to get your PDA up and running. Once you have the software installed on your computer you will want to go in and enter all your information like names and addresses in your contact section. Once you have that all done you connect the PDA to the computer by using the usb cord and then hit HotSync. You can go back later and update any of your infomation right in the PDA itself. Best wishes. Let me know if you need any other help with this.

Error (sys 0505)(0,841)

Hi,

I entered "Sys 0505" in the Search box on the main Palm support site and got a bunch of hits, one of which is a Palm Knowledge Base article which would suggest that the error might be related to a file (these hits suggest a backlight file though the last four digits of the error are different) which might have gotten onto your TX if you upgraded from an older Palm.

Hope this helps. If it's not the backlight file, it could be some other relic system file from an older Palm. You might have to try Hard Resetting your TX, renaming the Backup folder on your desktop, then Hotsyncing your regular PIM data back and reinstalling your third-party apps one at a time. This routine is the customary way to try to troubleshoot a software problem, which is prolly what you have. Now, if you have never had a prior Palm handheld and there's no way it could be a legacy system file from a prior device...I dunno...I would still suggest going the Hard Reset route, renaming your backup folder to backupold, Hotsyncing your data, make sure it's all working, then reinstall your 3rd party applications.

Software download to handheld

You must have Palm Desktop installed on your pc. You must have a serial cable from your pc to your handheld. You must have hotsync running on your taskbar. You must download the software to the Palm Desktop and then hotsync your Palm with the pc. You may not be starting the safe hotsync in the start menu before pressing the hotsync icon on your Palm. If it's not that, your pc may not be recognising your Palm device or you may not have your serial cable securely hooked up, or you may be trying to download software that's not compatible with your device. You also have to reset your device after installing most software. Make sure you have enough memory to hold the software.

HotSync Outlook 2003 with Tungsten E

I tried all the suggestions that were offered and gave up. But then out of pure craziness I loaded the treo 600 CD that came with my Treo 600 out of curiosity. It loaded and the MS Office 2003 conduits loaded nicely and the problem appears to be solved for now. So I tested and it the Tungsten E Hotsync's feature all appear to be okay. I'm not sure if this is the best solution but it solved a very frustrating problem. The version of Hotsync that loaded is 4.1.0. Hope this helps.
