Pixel chix roomies (6 rooms) - remote buttons dont work

Last night, Katie (my little girl) was playing with her new Diva Queen roomie when the buttons stopped working on the hand-held remote piece. Being the inquisitive type, I opened up the back of the hand-held remote piece to find that the buttons, which are soft plastic, aren’t making proper contact with the circuit board inside. I tried to ‘make’ the buttons connect with the circuits – as you do – by stuffing tin-foil between the buttons and the board to complete the circuit – but still no luck. What’s more, the board itself now has a crack in it, and I think that the wiring and circuitry is actually broken as now none of the buttons work. You can’t get the roomies to move from room to room without the remote and there’s a whole rake of games that ‘triggered’ when you put the other roomies into the house. Now the looks like none of these games will work either. And of course you can’t get the blasted remote as a separate replacement item…..any ideas how to get the buttons working again?????.

Hmmm we bought one of these each for our little girls at Christmas, used from ebay. I couldn't work out which person sold us the dud one so bought another one, brand new on ebay for my disappointed child. It's arrived today and seem to have exactly the same fault as the first one.
It's such a shame, they have lots of pixel chix things and they all work well, but this, the most expensive seems to be a crock

I have a hampton bay remote that just stopped working. I have installed new batteries, have checked the code with another remote so I know the problem isn't the fan. The light on the remote does not...

If the light on the remote is not lighting when you push a button, check the batteries to make sure they are in the proper position. If one is turned the wrong way, the hand held will not work. You may also want to check the replacement batteries to make sure they are fully charged. If all this fails to solve the problem, you will need replace the hand held remote. Since Hampton Bay Fans are a house brand for Home Depot, they stock and sell replacement hand held remote controls.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

You may have a venting problem. Check outside to make sure vent is blowing good. It is possible that the motor may have went bad with all of the problems associated with a clogged vent.

Last night none of the remote controls worked (the one that came with the garage door opener or the remote Home link from our vehicle) The keypad also did not work. This morning, I erased all of the codes...

First thing I would do is remove the wire from terminal #1 on the rear of the motor unit and try your remotes. This wire goes to the wall control and it sometimes causes the remotes to quit. If this doesn't correct the problem then I suspect a bad logic board. Especially if you have had any electrical storms.

Pixel chix house not working

We had the same problem and figured out that the "Try Me" tab (demo mode) was not removed properly which is a little plastic piece that is inserted in a hole next to the reset button. It's supposed to come out when you open the package, but it got ripped in half in ours. I took the plastic piece from another pixel chix package and put it in and out of the hole and it works now.
