Hello jck... you have an electrical short. problem is these can be hard to find. once found, easy to fix. look in the yellow pages for an autoelectric repair shop. these shops have the necessary diagnostic tools to locale a short in no time. well worth the cost. Joe

My 1999linclon town car do not hold a charge overnite why

Assuming it's not the battery; have you replaced the battery cable ends that attach to the battery posts? It may look like the ends have a good clean connection to the posts but the problem may be with the cable side being corroded. Don't just clean, replace ends (they're cheap). Starting with the cheapest and easiest solution.

1999linclon town car do not charge overnite good battery and alternator

Did you replace cable ends? Sometimes the cable side gets corroded inside the wire covering. May look like the battery is clean of corrosion and well attached but it's the cable side the battery post fitting. Try changing the ends. A cheap and easdy solution.

Pool of clear water on floor of garage overnite

ok , can I assume you run green, yellow, orange ,pink antifreeze
in the radiator, not pure water, and check AF every fall for 50% consenstrations? yes.
then that water is normal Airconditioning condensate water that all cars drop to the ground. pure water it is.
THE A/C runs when you ask for COLD or Defrost.(front)
and works just like a cold beer glass in a humid tavern. it drips.

Chevrolet faults

You may have what is called a parasitic draw, simply put something ( an electric circuit or component ) is emptying your battery of its power. It may be as easy as something that was left on like a dome light or a faulty electrical circuit component. First look and listen inside your vehicle with the doors closed for any lights that remain on or sounds of something running. There's a start good luck.

My 2007 Lincoln MXZ drivers door will not shut. It seems the latch is not latching on. Could the latch just be broken?

not an answer but possibly related question. battery runs down quickly (overnite) no, non-factory accessories, door closed so interior lights are NOT on. could electrical problem be related to door not staying latched closed?

Battery drains overnite

There are a number of things that can cause this including the battery itself. As they age bits of lead can build up at the bottom of the case and cause an internal short. Another possibility is the alternator if the diodes go bad. Try this next time you park it dis connect the battery, if it's dead in the morning when you reconnect it...time for a new battery. If you suspect the alternator, leave the battery hooked up and disconect the big wire at the back of the alternator. (it's the one that charges the battery) This same idea can work for anything else that might run it down, disconnect it, if the battery does not go dead you found what's causing it.

Some thing is killing my batterie

The first thing to do is to make sure the battery is good, have it tested and make sure its good and holds a charge, the next thing to make sure the battery is good is to disconnect the negitive battery terminal and let truck sit the amount of time is would take to drain the battery, this is overnite in most cases but im not sure about yours, next after it sits the amount of time then connect battery and it should start, if it doesnt then the battery is no good, also when the battery is tested have the charging system checked to make sure the alternator is charging the battery, after the battery checks out good and the alternator then the next step is to look all over the truck for any light on, like glove box or a light on the rear view mirrror, i will say that this truck is designed to shut down all power left on in side truck after i think 15min, i think you may find a bad battery is the problem but still check for any light on look closely front and rear for any lights. this is where i would start, the next thing would be a draw meter on the battery while you start to disconnect fuses from the box until the draw meter shows no draw anymore then you would see what system the fuse you pulled runs and then check that systems components, but lets start with the batt, and alternator and for any lights left on. hope this is helpful. good luck...
