Sounds like you need a new ribbon or you are using non-Swintec compatible ribbons that are not properly aligned to your ribbon feed. Try using Swintec brand ribbons and see if this still occurs. Worst case scenario, you need to have your ribbon feed adjusted at your local dealer.

How do I install a swintech 8011 typewriter ribbon. having some major issues

There is a red handle on the right side carrier , pull it towards you and to the left, remove the old ribbon, set the new cassette in place threading it thru the two guides, turn the knob on top to take out slack, move the red handle back.

Everything is in italics

There is no Italics mode on the Swintec 2640 typewriter. It sounds like you are using a printwheel that is Italics, such as Courier Italics 12. To print other than Italics, you can buy a standard printwheel here:

Swintec Printwheels

Just make sure to choose a typestyle that is not Italics.

Have a olivetti 1000S typewriter, put in a new cartridge but when I type no printing appears on paper, any ideas

Put a multi part form in it, if it prints on the copies then you have a ribbon issue. If so be sure the ribbon is installed properly and that it isn't twisted (the dull side should face the paper) Try it without the Lift off they sometimes steal the impression.

My typewriter prints the bottom half of the letter. Do I need a new wheel or a defective ribbon. This started when I changed the ribbon.

Most likely the ribbon isn't in right. Go to NADIST.COM click on current models you will find a manual there.

Swintech brand electric typewriter. When typing the ribbon wheel is slow to advance and causes right of letter to be cut off. What is wrong?

Check for bent or broken spokes on the PW. Be sure the correction tape is a dry one tacky will give you fits.

How do I program my Swintec model 2640 typewriter to store information so that I can save it and press a key to automatically type the stored information?

The instructions to do this are located in your User Manual under "Create Text file" and "Print text file." It is too lengthy to write here. Check your manual, or if you don't have the manual, you can download one for $10.00 at www.typewritermall.com
