Question about Bissell 6594 PowerForce Bagless Upright Vacuum
I disassembled the dirt cup and took off the spongy filter ring and washed everything. Now, I can't figure out how to put the spongy filter back on the machine. Where does it go...on what part of the bagless cup assembly? I don't understand the whole assembly of the bagless unit. Help, company's coming!
The sponge filter goes around the plastic part with tons of vertical slits on it

I throw my filters (all 3 or counting that plastic thing in the top so 4) in the washing machine on low setting, then let them air out.
They sell bags at the Dollar Store for other brands of vaccums but I love this one. And if you want you can buy you own Hepa filter to use with it to cut down on allergens.

The spongy filter goes around the round pleated paper filter on the upper piece. It's just the right width and diameter to fit the paper filter.
Now wouldn't you really rather change a bag than play with dirt and dirty filters?
