Assuming that your machine isn't too old to use the song chips, do you have any chips which came with it? If they still work, then it's unlikely to be the player. Most likely that it simply can't read the new ones. If you got them from a reputable dealer, then I suggest that you seek their advice as they should know about them better than anyone. If not, then there are sites for dealers on the internet, whom I'm sure would be glad to advise you. Sorry that I can't help more and good luck :-)
My magic mike does have power, but a couple of my song chips comes up garble, and unable to bring song up, where as a third chip is able to play . Some times when I run through the list there will be some songs that pops up but not all. Then after a while it will go gargble again, but the third chip is okay.
This is when I use the AA batteries, If I remove the batteries, then it will come up data check, and garble...........any solutions or answers? Thanks

hi i am working in Wow Magic sing- one of the magic sing distributor in Philippines. Is your unit wow , even if its our competitor, the manufacturer is just the same.
kindly give me more detailed information about the model and description. please be more specific.
please try to remove all song chips- if there are any...inverted and dirty song chip wont make the microphone turn ON. check the cable and cord- open (loose connection) cord or open adaptor will not make it work as well.
Could be the wiring in the RCA cable.
Swinging mike to and fro can wear through the power wiring inside the cable.
I'm on my 3rd cable.
Manufacturers have said they recognise this is a common fault with product but it seems they are not taking any steps to rectify.
I found that using the mike with batteries sometimes works.
If you get a new cable may be a good idea to reinforce the top 12 - 18 inches of the cable to avoid same problem in future.
