Blue screen When I start to open the viewer you can see an image but once it's open more than about 1/2 an inch the screen goes blue. It records fine but you have to look through that tiny viewer. I had this problem before and Samsung sent a refurbished camera.

The video ribbon is probably not secure in its connector and as you open the door it is pulled from the simple housing it connects to these cameras are absolutely terrible the lcd screens will always fail because of a design defect in the ribbon and its routing and fastening.Inside the lcd screen to secure it they use electrical tape as a fastener so ridiculous.

My windows suddenly shows "beginning memory dump"

It sounds like you might having a problem with RAM. A couple of questions for you:
1. Are you running any particular type of application before getting the blue screen?
2. Have you recently upgraded your PC with more RAM?
3. Also how much RAM do you have? You need at least a minimum of 1 gig of RAM to efficiently run Vista...even though this might not be causing the problem, but it does help overall performance/

Another thing that you can try is looking in the Event Viewer and then tell me any error messages that you see. To get to the event viewer...Click on Start --> Run --> type in eventvwr.msc and press enter. Once in the event viewer look under System and see if there are any error's that occurred around the time the blue screen came up.

Just in case that its RAM...try this downloading this tool (memtest )to diagnose any issues with RAM --> http://www.memtest.org/.

Sony CCD-TRV65. Blue screen during playback

Just bought the exact one from a yard sale for 20 bucks. Had the very same problem with the blue screen on playback. What i did is replace the battery in the small bay when you open the viewfinder. Try playing your tape again and it will work!

Thinkpad R51 Blue screen

First:

does this also happen in safe mode boot. (press F8 just before windows boots). If not then go to your event viewer and check the messages at the specific time, hour messages. for example. computer booted at 23:30. in windows around 23:31:10 and then blue screen. Go to safe mode. and look in the logs what registered at 32:31:10(around this time).

If not possible to boot in safe mode. Try to remove one of the 2 memory dimm(if you have 2). so you boot with 1. maybe 1 of them doesn't work good anymore.
