Trying to hookup DVD/VCR DVP3345V/17 to a TV that has Audio/Video Component Video or S-Video in Jacks. We have followed Steps 1, 2a and 3 but at Step 3 going from the lowest TV channel and changing downward, we are unable to find the VCR playback on the TV screen. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I cannot connect the cm25101s to the dvd/vcr playet (philips dvp3345v/17), how will i do it and what channel it should be on and should the tv be on cable r air?

A vcr/dvd player should be connected to the rear audio/video connections on the rear of the set from the same type of connections on the rear of the combo player.

Select the input connected to on the tv and go.

How do I hook up dvd to tv

If your TV has the standard analog audio and video inputs (yellow, red and white jacks) or for better image (S-Video rounded 4 pin jack or component video red, blue and green jacks), you'll only need the corresponding cables, and also your TV could have HDMI port (digital video and audio signals), you should use this connection, all depends of what type of outputs provide your DVD/VCR, in the case your TV set doesn't has any of mentioned inputs, you still could use the antenna input and connect its matching output from DVD/VCR , tuned at VHF channel 3 or 4.

Can't find the correct way to hook up my vcr to my dvd recorder to record vhs to dvd disc. could someone please give me some instuctions on hookup please. thanks

connect yellow, red, and white RCA jacks (video, audio rt and lt) to the "out" on the VCR. If your VCR isn't stereo it will only have one audio plug.

Connect the other end of the jacks 9yellow, red, and white) to the "in" jacks probably marked Aux in, on the DVD recorder.

Now follow the instructions on the DVD recorder to set to Aux in (some have two aux front and back). Should have a button for it on the remote.

With the dvd, tv , and vcr on, you should see the VCR on the screen. Start the tape and press record on the dvd, you are set.

What kind of cords do you need to hook-up to a tv??

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, the A/V cable would be readily available from most electronics supply store, Audio/Video/TV stores, MP3 and even computer shops/stores. The cable would be as shown below:
3d1929b.jpg
Alternately, you can connect the RF OUT of a VCR to this RF/ANT/Cable IN of the TV, set the TV to Channel 3. An RG59 patch cable would do the job. Should you want to connect a DVD, connect the Video/Audio OUTPUT of the DVD to the Video/Audio INPUT of the VCR. Incidentally, the regular cable/ant should be connected to the RF IN of the VCR.

No placeto hook the coiax/antenna cable

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, the Philips DVP3345V/17 is a DVD/VCR and does not have a tuner hence no antenna connection. It ustilizes the Video/Audio RCA type of connectors. Additionally, the user's manual would be of help for all other features.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Toshiba Model: SD-V295 DVD/VCR Combo Setup for TV recording

The proper hookup is antenna or cable into the VCR RF/antenna input, then VCR RF/antenna output to the TV RF input. The hookup you describe means no signal is getting to the VCR.

With some TVs, there can be Video and audio output jacks which can be hooked to the video and audio jacks of the VCR. However this would likely mean you could only record the channel being watched, and, the TV would have to be on.
