Question about Foxconn 761GXK8MBRS AMD Athlon 64/Athlon 64 FX, Socket 939 (939-pin), 1600/2000MT/s SiS761GX + 965L... Motherboard
I just had a 761GXK8MB (with Athlon 64-bit CPU and new power supply) installed into a Dell Dimension chassis. I tried using a PS/2 keyboard (two different ones) along with serial or USB mouse, and it would hang up (or delay a long time) in POST whenever I kept the PS/2 keyboard plugged in and pressed keys. Even if it booted I could not use the keyboard in Windows. I finally had to buy a USB keyboard as solution. I checked BIOS Setup and didn't see anything I thought would cause this behavior. Why would the PS/2 keyboard not work?
Ps/2 means the north bridge chipset is going ( just not totaly dead though ) in time you may notice the usb may not work at 2.0 speeds
Sorry nobody on this planet can repair a ps/2 unless another motherboard is purchased .
