Why does it keep timing me out on gta5 while online?

Matthew, check your NAT type. For live games like GTA5, it needs to be set to "open" If it's type 2 then media is being sent, but blocked when coming in. Limited communication with the servers. It's usually caused by the wrong settings over a wireless connection. If you use a cat5 "hard wire" from your modem directly to your system, it should report back "open"

We had are wii hooked up on internet and lost connection now we cant get it to work

Hi there,

Unable to connect to your wireless network

Likely cause 1: It appears that the password (also known as a WPA or WEP key) entered into the Wii console is not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.

How to fix 1: Make sure the password is entered into the Wii exactly as it appears in your router's settings. Security keys are case sensitive.

Likely cause 2: It appears that the DNS servers that were provided to your Wii are incorrect or the Wii Console doesn't recognize the server.

How to fix 2: Go to your DNS settings under the Wireless Networks tab and manually set the DNS to and which are Google's DNS Servers.

Other suggestions:

  • Did this connection used to work but has suddenly stopped? "Power cycle" your router and modem. To do this:
    • Unplug both the modem and the router from the power outlet.
    • Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in.
    • Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then plug in the router.
    • Try to connect the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS online and test for proper response

  • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker.
If you are still having problems, contact Nintendo and they will help you get to the root of your problem - Nintendo Wii Support

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a great day and please remember to rate this solution.

I wont to get on to the internet an i cant get connected What do i do ?

go to your system settings. scroll all the way to the bottom to network settings and adjust the settings to whichever you may be using wired or wireless. if wired connect an ethernet cord to your ps3 , choose wired and your ready to go. if you have a wireless modem you will need to input the sn and wep address manually or do a scan and double check your modem to make sure they match.

You need to have a wireless connection. Anotherwards you will need to buy a wireless router and connect it to your Modem and configure it properly if you want it to function normally. If you need a walkthrough for setting up your router i can post a link.

Using a Mobile broadband service for online use.

Im very possitive you cant do that the ones you can do it with normal wireless broadband boxes (wi fi) you can use this wireless by going to your network settings and put wireless (also wired you choice) and then it will tell you to fill some things out with the internet cable with a wireless broadband you can wire it but the connection is better but that depends on how or were u use it wireless is still very very good for more questions ( also myspace.

Goto network connection, select enable
Goto Internet connection settings just below internet connection-
Push yes when it says you may be disconnected
Select wired or wireless
For wireless use scan or enter manually
Follow on screen instructions.
Once that is set up return to main menu and go to network near the right
Then once in the internet browser press triangle and goto file and enter the internet address you would like visit.
If all else fail use the ethernet cable to attach it to your laptop. Then run network setup on the laptop and add the ps3.
