I have a panasonic cd player..CQ-DF602U and its shows a code across the screen CD-E1...what does this mean and it wont play cds

E1 = Disk is dirty, or is upside down. Also the disk may have a format that the player cannot read. If this occurs with all your disks, move to the next step.
Try one of those CD lens cleaning kits. They are just typically a CD with a little brush attached to the underside of the disk to try gently and wipe the lens. You could also try re-setting the whole deck by removing it from the dashboard. The jiggling might knock something back into place. (Don't forget to disconnect it first and make sure the power is off!).

If you still receive the error code or the cd ejects automatically briefly after being inserted, the head unit needs to be repaired or replaced.

I have a kenwood kdc mp333 cd player, it reads cds and the radio is fine but therers no sound... like i turn it up and stuff but no sound.. is there a mute button on my cd player or would it be my...

Could be one or the other, look at every button on the face and ensure there is no mute button, although usually when you adjust the volume it will unmute. I would also look in back of the deck and make sure your wiring harness did not get disconnected, if it is connected you can try testing a speaker or two right from the harness and see if you get audio.

The speakers in my new 2nd hand car won't play

if one speaker in car is shorted or bad.It will cause the whole system to mute .You may need to have someone to disconnect one speaker at a time or pull out radio. Some systems have a seperate amp in rear of car .Check fuse for that amp//goodluck

Error 1 comes up on screen when cd played panasonic rx77 cd and cassette player.has active screen.

Don't know if this will help, but with my panasonic CQ-C8300N there are 4 error messages, all to do with CDs.

They are as follows:

CD E1 - Disc is dirty, or upside down.
CD E2 - Disc has scratches.
CD E3 - No operation by some cause! - see your dealer.
CD E4 - The file is not readable.

From my panasonic manual.

I burned a cd and it wont play in the cd player i have a 2003 ford focus with a blapunk ford radio the cd is a rw

Most older factory car radios won't play a burned disc. You could try a cd(+ or -) r instead of a rw. But it probably won't work. Some cd players work better with a specific brand of disc too.
Specifications can be found at the radio manufacturers web site.

In 2003 mp3's and burning discs was new to car audio so the radio may not be compatable.

I have just given a friend my Panasonic in car CD player/receiver CQ/RDP 152N and he has wired it up but it has come up EXT-MUTE. Could you please explain how he gets rid of this. Thanks

You connected the phone mute wire(usually yellow with black stripe). Some time it touches the ground when you tucked the radio in with properly taped it, too. Make sure to unhook it and tape it up good should do it. Goodluck.
