Make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or the drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in this should activate the found new hardware wizard or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device Click start control panel administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you will have options to update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer
Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

LG GH24LS50 HD-DT-ST DVD-RAM drivers

It's not a driver disk.... at least not for Windows OS's. Driver support comes from the OS not from a disk. The disk most likely only contains burning software, dvd decoding software, and possibly dos driver.

My ASUS F5SL laptop doesn't recognize my flash drive. It recognizes my mouse, my mp3 player but won't recognize my flash drive pen or my psp. Can, please, someone help me? I'm running Wind

have you tried different usb ports? hit the windows key and the R key at the same time and type diskmgmt.msc and go into disk manager and see if the flash drive shows up in the list of disks installed.

Computer BIOS recognizes the SATA DVD Rewriter but Windows XP does not. The drive opens the loading door but it does not appear in the Windows XP explorer (My Computer).

Windows XP doesn't nativey support SATA. Check in BIOS to see if your motherboard supports sata to IDE emulation.

Hi, I have an external disk connected to an usb port. Sometimes my computer stop to recognize the connection and my external disk doesn´t works anymore, until the next reboot. What can I do to resolve...

The only other solution other than rebooting is to remove the cable from the usb port and reinsert it. Sometimes the computer will recognize the drive and it will work properly.
