It is not possible to just add extra speakers. Most likely the total OHM of the speakers is just too much for your amplifier making it go into protection mode. Just disconnect the additional speakers.

My pioneer receiver powers on but the volume doesn't work. Why is that??

Does this receiver function as only a tuner or does it have speaker outputs? If it has speaker outputs, then there might be switches for turning them on and/or if 5.1 surround sound, sometimes there is a bridge on the back so extra amplification can be added and if that bridge is missing, the tuner signals are sent on to the internal amplifier. On one of mine, that bridge was a 2 wires bent to fit into RCA jacks on the rear of the unit.

Kenwood A722L no sound and volume led blinking

This could be due to a faulty speaker relay (if your unit uses one). Normally, the unit will "wait" a couple of seconds after you turn the unit on. Then you will hear a "click" and the sound will begin coming through the speakers. If the relay is faulty, it would cause the problem you describe.

Yamaha rx-v371 shuts off 2 secs after turning on

Return unit to place of purchase, this is clearly a manufacture defect. The warranty will cover full replacement, do not allow them to attempt repair on the current item because you will be back and forth until warranty runs out.

Hi , is it possible to add an extra 2 speakers to my hifi even though there are only enough terminals to hold the 2 that was with it ???? also the run of cable nedded for the added 2 speakers will be...

Yes you can add two additional speakers, by adding a splitter off each terminal, which will take each terminal hole to two. However there is a couple problems you might discover. Power output will weaken because each channel is designed for so much amp output. So, by adding two additional speakers off those channels demands more power. Now, if your not going to crank them high and have a block party you will be ok. You can get the splitter that goes in to each port and splits and places like Guitar center, maybe radio shack, best buy, and even check walmart. They make also little devices that are a little unit that actually is separate, that hook up like this. Two small coax lines about 6 inches long come out your receiver and plug into this little splitter that has four ports, then you can run all four of your lines to the four speakers, and this device has panning and some other little features to make one speaker louder than the other like a fader. I hope this helps. Again Guitar center is best to check first.

Why don't you set it Zone 2 then you could listen to the radio outside and still watch tv inside. You can turn it on and off just like a and b speakers.
