HP 755CM I have a problem in plotting on my hp 755CM. The plotter can print but it takes so much time to print, approximately about 20 mins per 24x36inch size of paper. What would be the cause of taking so much time in plotting and what should i do to solve this kind of problem?

**you need a good driver:
whilst ordinary printer drivers may treat plotters like very large, slow, desktop printers, our driver uses the native vector graphics capabilities of your large format plotter to render CAD and line drawings at maximum speed.

Go here
www.plotterdriver.it

Third Party Product;
and they are those recommended from HP, Autodesk and work great with Corel Draw, Power Point, Micrografx Designer, EXCELL, Lotus, Word and all vectorial-oriented Windows applications, under W95, W98, WME, NT 4.0, W2000, WinXP, Win VISTA.

You'll find all informations

Cartridge problem for 755CM

1.The carriage contacts are worn out and the contacts need to be replaced.
2.The Trailing cable is worn out and needs to be replaced.
It is highly recommend that you replace this both at the same time.
These are the two likely causes of the cartridge problems.
You can do it your self by following the service instructions at http://www.feedroller.com/store/Service%20Manual/DESIGNJET%20700,%20750C,%20750CT,%20755CM%20Service%20Manual.pdf
and you can get parts at http://www.donparts.com/products/53-DJ-700-750C-755CM/ for the plotter.

I can't print from any program in Vista 64 to my HP 755cm plotter. HP said they no long support this plotter so I can't find a driver. Any suggestions to make this work?

If HP don't support it for Vista you will not be able to get a driver unless you are willing to pay a programmer several thousands of pounds to go into the Vista OS and findout what information it needs so that he can write the drivers. He would also need developer ststus from Microsoft for the source codes etc. Either bin Vista (it's being replaced later this year) or buy anther plotter.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. (HP ****!!)

My plotter is recieving info. but takes forever to start plotting.

Try turning the nesting function off. This can save paper when you are doing high volume printing, particularly with smaller drawings but wil cause extreme delays if there isn't a steady flow of drawings going to the plotter.

Hp design jet 750c plus. while plotting auto cad drawing,i command it to plot black/white (mono) but it plots all in color instead.I selected mono button on the printer as well.

Your plotter driver needs to be set to either black or greyscale. The driver will overide the settings on the plotter unless you set up the plotter in manual. ie the pen thicknesses, colour etc are set in the control panel to manual. The driver takes priority always.

Why does the plotter use color even if we do not plot in color?

If you print in some CAD programm try the following....
Paper:Plain
Print Target:Line Drawing
Color Mode:Color CAD when the CTB is color and Monochrome when the CTB is monochrome
Resolution:Draft 600
For your situation use CTB monochrome and ColorMode Monochrome.
The print head prints max resolution 2400X1200
