There may be a problem with your internet connection and may be have a proxy network and do not enabled proxy in your browser.

Try instead, typing the following URL into the address bar:

Note that I left out the "s" in https. The "s" means the site is a "secure" site... However, under normal circumstances, you should be safe enough logging in the "normal" way. If you feel comfortable doing this, go ahead and try it now.

I just tried it both ways, and both ways worked for me. I'm using the latest version of Firefox with pretty much default security settings. You didn't state which browser you were using, and I'm not sure it matters, but I do know that the security settings for Microsoft Internet Explorer can be tricky at times. So if that's the case, check your list of secure sites or other settings, otherwise, I highly recommend going to and downloading the latest and greatest version, I think you'll be pleased. (And no, I don't work for Mozilla!)

Finally, it is possible that Facebook was having a temporary problem. Let me know if you were able to get logged into your Facebook account.
