Prism3d engine - as in the trucking games engine ?!?!
if so check u;re directX. try to reinstall it ... Or u;re video card drivers !
In 18 w.o.s. haulin the game works with medium graphics and 800/600 32 bit refresh rate or 800/600 default. it looks good but the head lights don't work on the street, only the cars and buildings. if you set it higher it will stop working again. in 18 w o s american l h i have no ideea what to do.
I had the same problem with my trucking game "18 wheels Haulin". It stopped many times suddently when game playing. When I installed the 18 wheels American Long Haul, I played very safely at the first time. I saved the first game for it to have the files in My Document and then I coppied some truck mod and pasted in the mod file of American Long Haul. Thank God the American Long Haul started the same problem like Haulin' (Prism 3D engine stopped working) many many times. So I removed the truck mod immediately! After doing so, that problem never never happens again!. Guys, if any of you are having some truck mod and in this problem, just sacrifice your truck mod to play your regular game well. I tested for several times- when I had the truck mod in the mod file, that bad problem occured right away 2 or 3 times in an hour; when I removed it, I never saw it happen again!
I read this from the Microsoft website, someone asked the same question regarding a differnt game. Microsoft said to check under the games manufacturer for any updates, if no updates available then..

i go to play the game but it says that the prism 3d engine had an eror and had to close. it said to read the owners manual to find a way to bypass it but the game didnt come with one.

When I try and run Hunting Unlimited 2008 it pops up a "sys_no_graphics" message then immediately after clicking ok another window pops up saying "Prism3d Engine has stopped working"...
I'm trying to run this game on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, Pentium DualCore 1.6gz, 1.5gb RAM, and a ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M series video built into it.

I don't know why. I installed "18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul", and before that, I was playing "18 Wheels of Steel: Across America". Across America was working fine, but when I installed ALH, it all stopped.

I have hard truck 18wheels of steel convoy but before that i had 18wheels of steel so now i have convoy it goes on like its gonna play but then a big x comes and say prism3d has stop and i just bought this damn game!
