Hi,

Try connecting to known sites like Yahoo or Hotmail. If it shows the same message, kindly check your browser's internet connection setup.
If you are using IE:

1) Go to Tools->Internet Options.
2) Click the Connections Tab folder.
3) Click the LAN Settings button.
4) Make sure the Automatically detect settings is ticked.
5) Don't tick the Use automatic configuration script.
6) Don't tick the Use proxy server for your LAN for now.
7) Click OK. Then Click OK again.
8) See if you can surf to the website. if not, Do Step 1 to Step 5. Click Use proxy server for the LAN. You need to type the address and port number for this. You have to ask your internet provider for this or your System Admin person.

If you can surf to yahoo, then probably the website you are trying to surf is down.

Neither Internet Explorer or Firefox will connect to internet. Firefox say it cant connect to proxy server. How do I check proxy settings?

Open your Internet Explorer,
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections "Tab" -> LAN Settings -> Proxy server, uncheck the box -> OK

Restart your Browsers ie IE or Firefox, you don't need the proxy server if your are a home users.

Hope it helps.

Take a look at your proxy setting in internet options if your using Internet Explorer.
The path to the setting is,

Start - type Internet Options in the search box at the bottom of the start menu - click Internet options at the top of the list - click the connections tab - click on LAN settings - under proxy server make sure there is no tick in the use proxy server for your lan - If it is ticked remove the tick
Try download.
Hope this helps.

I cant log on to the internet on my other computer it tells me minimal or no connection

Please ensure that your security settings are correct. Also make sure you have entered the correct password in your security enabled network (sounds like you are using a wireless connection). If you are behind a firewall or proxy server ensure that the internet settings are correct. If your are using IE go to tools - internet options- connections- LAN settings to setup your proxy if you are using Firefox go to tools - options - advanced - networks - settings tab to configure your proxy. The steps are almost identical for all browsers.

Cannot find server or DNS Error

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Some web pages never load, others do

wontload,
The first thing I suspect is a malware infection (browser hijack).
Please try spybot and adaware.
Then get hijackthis and scan. Check for any funny looking entries and delete them.
Also, Go to tools, internet options, and delete browsing history (IE).
Go to tools, internet options ,connections, lan settings and make sure that nothing is checked.
please keep us posted.
thanks
