2 year old Worx snow blower battery charger says battery is fully charged, but the blower kills after just two seconds of power. What is wrong?

Batteries are capable of telling lies and fooling a charger, even a modern so-called intelligent charger. The only reliable way to test a power tool battery is testing the voltage under load.

2 years old and it is now the third winter your snow blower is seeing and two summers - I wonder what you did with the battery during those summers?
Batteries hate being less than fully charged and a battery that is less than fully charged for many months will emerge less than optimum and even possibly useless.

Modern lithium batteries don't like being completely discharged because when recharged with a fast charger they get quite warm and it is the heat that tends to shorten their lives...

If any of this seems familiar - your battery is probably faulty.

Battery wont work without the charger plugged in

All batteries have a FINITE amount of time before they can no longer hold a charge, if your battery is older then a year it is no longer covered under warranty either. Have you noticed prior to this that the battery was holding less and less of a charge? ALSO batteries do over heat and stop receiving a charge, best way to tell is to keep the laptop plugged in. unplug the battery for a minute, then plug it back in and see on your task bar if it says charging or plugged in not charging. let me know! good luck to you as well!

When trying to start the car it only makes a clicking sound

Try this if the battery is not a sealed type open the caps and check the fluid level to make sure that none of the cells are low or dry, then if that is not the problem remove the battery and take it to your local parts store they can do a load test on it. A battery can show full charge and still not have enough cold cranking amps to start the car. I hope this helps you, good luck!!

Help on extending the battery life of my acer aspire one!

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, until they won't charge up at all.
The only solution is a new battery.

Kodak Easy Share z712 IS not detecting charged battery

I have the exact same camera almost a year too. It is a total "swinka" on batteries. About 10-15 shots on super ni-cads, and quits without warning.

A pair of Energizer 7X gave me near 500 shots. Much cheaper but still ...

So 4 months ago I bought a charger and 2 rechargeables. Charge one while using the other one.
I may get 70-90 shots per charge on these lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, without flash.

Testing the batteries without a load doesn't really tell you anything.
What's the reading? Should be well over 4 volts when fully charged. Mine show 4.2V
