I cant hear my music

it's usually the first contact (ground) of the headphone jack module that loses it's elasticity and does no longer touch the headphone plug properly. you can try to pull it back inward from the outside using a dentist tool or a sewing needle. if that fails you have to open the ipod touch and push the contact inward or replace the jack module.

Cant hear songs

It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.

Try a different set of headphones first. Also, make sure the mute option is not selected. Finally, make sure the songs are counting down.

If all of these conditions have been met, and you still cannot get sound, then the headphone input is defective.
