Can't connect psp component cables to tv

We just purchased component cables for the PSP to connect to the tv. I have a flat screen Samsung Tv. On the back there is a place for the Y PB PR and audio L and R. I plugged them in and went to source on the tv remote. The plugs are in component 1 on the tv but we do not have a signal. Is there anything that we need to do to rectify this problem? thanks for your time

Okay. here's what you need to remember as i encountered the same issue and had it resolved.

1. connect the psp tv out component cable to the tv. make sure you have every cable in their correct plug-ins.

2. on your tv remote, press output until your tv displays the correct output data info. it will display component 1 or component 2. make sure this aligned with where you connected your component cable.

3. turn on the on the psp, then press and hold the display button ( it is near the start and select buttons on your psp, with a box like icon. after 5 seconds, it will give you a gray screen with a box icon and an arrow which means you are transferring the data out from the psp to your tv display.

4. enjoy your psp on tv!

Does your TV have component inputs?

You can only play games with the component (red, green, blue) cable
the composite (red, yellow, white) is only for music and pictures.

make sure you have the proper connections on your tv and theyre hooked up properly.

Why does my computer not display anything when i connect my psp to it?

Hi,
Two things could be the reason of it,
1- Data Cable is break. Check your psp data cable that, is it working properly. Use another Data Cable.
2- In psp settings turn on usb cable connection then connect your psp with your pc.

Hope this will solve your problem
Thanks

No screen is coming on psp

Turn the PSP off and remove the battery and battery cover. Remove the two screws underneath the battery. Remove the other two screws on the opposite side of the battery. Remove the final screw on the bottom edge of the PSP.Grasp the PSP on both sides with each hand and pull the cover off of the PSP. Locate the button bar on the bottom front of the PSP. Use your flathead driver to lift up the left side of the button bar until it pops up off the LCD support. Lift the button bar cable tab upwards to remove the cable and remove the button bar.Insert your flat driver into the small space on the left side of the LCD screen between the the LCD housing and the LCD mounting bracket. Twist the screwdriver slightly and the mounting tabs will pop out. Gently remove the other side of the LCD after popping out the first side tabs. Bend the PSP screen all the way down until you can see the backside of the screen.

Lift up the flex cable connectors and unhook the cables that connect the screen to the PSP motherboard. The tabs are brownish in color; they are very fragile, so be gentle. Lift the PSP screen out of the housing and place to the side.Place your new PSP screen into the PSP, face down like you had the older screen after popping out the mounting tabs. Connect all of the cables from the PSP screen into the motherboard tabs. Fold the screen back into the bracket, snapping it into place. Place the button bar back onto the LCD support, connecting the last cable. Place the cover back onto the PSP and tighten screws to finish.

Content of my memory stick won't appear when connected to my PC.

The problem is simply with your cable adapter that connects your PSP to your computer. You just need to replace it or use another cable.
