You have enabled the number lock feature on the keyboard. Hold the fn key and press the num lk key, the fn & numlk are in blue on most keyboards, this combination enables or disables the numbers lock.

Or you can do that from device manager.
Does THIS help? It looks to be a good walkthrough. The trick is that the "scissor" type bracket for the key must be raised up while you put the key on. Some keys are easily just pressed into position, but it looks like this manual might help.
