Sorry, if you onkly have C: now and no D: then you have destroyed the data on D: by re-partitioning it.

How To Recover My Data.?

Dear Rabeesh,

I'm guessing that you've formatted hard drive partitions containing Windows 7. If so, the drive will eventually become RAW as it contains the system files and the OS.
You need to run the professional partition recovery software (http://goo.gl/5eEjN), capable to recover RAW partitions from your hard drive. Follow the link mentioned above and try the software. It comes in demo version, so you can try it for free and once assured, you can go for premium version to recover all your data.

I want to restore my acer laptop with windows vista to factory settings

Most computers come with either a recovery CD/DVD or a recovery partition that is hidden on the computer. This is true for most HP and Dell machines now these days.
If you have one of these, you can access the recovery from within Windows or during startup.
You can also press the F10 key multiple times during bootup to get access to the recovery console in case Windows is not loading properly.
Note that all of your data will be lost on the hard drive. Using a recovery CD is not the same as repairing XP. When you repair windows XP, all of the system files are replaced with the original ones, but your data and application remain intact.

Reboot to factory settings w/o startup disk Satelite A75-S1253

Hi there,
If it has a recovery partition you should be able to access it by pressing the 0 key while powering the laptop on. Give that a shot and see if the Toshiba recovery wizard comes up.

Put your Windows disc in the disc drive.
Tap F12 when the computer is starting up.
Select load from disc.
Install Windows.
It seems to be the only solution to your problem.
Hopefully, you made a partition and saved your files onto there, or onto an external hard drive to prevent data loss.

you can still install windows XP on your laptop. If you are worrying about the recovery disk, all you have to do to secure your important files. About the driver?, you can download it. Anyway you can still use the CD utility of your computer and still install it.

Re-installing windows xp from Recovery CD without losing data

You can just get a new windows XP CD then on that you will have an option to repair what ever your problem with the operating system, if your hard disk has a partition and you don't have any data from the C drive where your OS is installed you can format the C drive and your files are still on your D drive.
