Now have Windows 7 and can't download pictures from my Fujifilm FinePix A800 camera how can I get free software to download?

Consider NOT using the FinePix software.


The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you an use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

This camera needs to be sent away forrepairs. Just like a motor vehicle, some repairs to your camera require atechnical specialist to fix your problem.

A driver for the camera will be found on Fuji's website, look for Customer Support or somesuch heading.

Ok, yes you need to download and install the Fuli FinePix software from this link below.

Download and install this software then reboot, at desktop next, connect up camera,it should install the driver, then when done, reboot, this time at desktop, run the software and you will be able to copy and manipulate your camera.
Also when the drivers have been installed, you will see new "Drives" appear in My Computer, now as such, these drives can be used as a normal drive, copy/cut/paste from to anywhere so also you can use that to transfer files too.
