Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV16 Camcorder
I have not used my camcorder in quite some time...but when I attempted to load a tape, it flickers and then stops playing. I stopped the tape...removed it...reinserted the tape and it will not play. I need help because these are very special tapes that I would like to transfer to DVD.
After posting my request for info, I went to another forum (which I listed) and read...numerous times that when you haven't used your Camcorder for a while, mechanisms get stuck. Their advice was to actually hit your camcorder with some force several times. I thought that they could not possibly be serious. But... what did I have to lose. I hit the camcorder several times...inserted a tape and believe it or not, it played...also without any flickering.
I am so very pleased because my sister passed and the vidoe tape was of her.
I hope that this solution helps someone.
