Hot water thru out the house

Is it possible for the mixing valve on this unit to stick an cause hot water to go thru out the house. We are getting hot water from the cold water side of every sink in the house, after the washer has been run on the hot cycle.

Have located the problem, it was an open valve in the shower. The valve was open, but the flow was shut off at the sprayer. It was causing the hot water to back up into the cold line. Thanks for the assist.

The problem is solved, it was a single handle shower valve in the open hot position when my wife washed her hair, she turned the water off at the shower head. This forced hot water into the cold pipes when a faucet down the line was opened. Thnks for the help.

We have Toshiba whasing machiv AW8570S (we used for three years) now no water supply, what I do ?

The hot and cold water lines connect to a mixing valve that is (simply put) a solonoid operated valve. If you are sure that the water supply is turned on but do not hear an audible click coming from the valve as you rotate the selection knob thru its cycle then I would have a qualified technician check the operation of the mixing valve. It may not be getting the signal from the timer/selecter or possibly just needs replacing.

Getting hot water when shower valve is first opened.

If I understand correctly, you have single handled shower faucet.
Normally there is a wait for hot water to arrive at faucet.
But now hot water is already at shower faucet.

Single handled faucets have a mixing area inside valve where hot and cold come together before going into sink.
This mixing valve can have crossover where the hot and cold can pass through to each other even when faucet handle is off. When single handle faucets get old, this can happen.
How it happens:
For example another faucet is turned on inside house, and pressure differential between hot and cold causes hot water at shower handle to pass through mixing area and into cold water line.
So if another faucet has been run, then that lets hot flow to faulty single handled shower faucet.
To confirm this is the problem: turn on other faucet and put ear against shower faucet to listen for moving water.
This condition may also signal there is a water leak.
The problem is not harmful, but will draw cold water into water heater each time, and is energy wasteful.
Replace faucet or have plumber repair problem.

Unit is not dead but hot water comes on sometimes and at other times not. My plummer has cleared the screen and behind and there is nothing that should be causing this.

You must check to see if your thermostats are tripping, in most cases the heater overheats if you slow down the flow of the water when mixing at your valves, in tankless the lower the flow the higher the temperature. Also check your bullet inside the inlet pipe this can also cause this problem.

Also check your electrical connections inside the unit there can have a loose wire somewhere causing a false contact.

Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water system set to 55 degrees with remote temp adjuster. Water only luke warm for showers. Burnner working, water & gas pressure ok. Any thoughts ... Stephen

If you aren't getting any error codes, then the heater is probably doing its job. Your problem is probably somewhere in your plumbing system. The most common reason you get this sort of problem is due to cold water mixing in the hot water system. There are a number of causes for a "cross connection" :

-Faulty check valve
-Missing check valve on reciculation return line
-Faulty shower cartridge
-Thermostatic mixing valve set too low
-Faulty thermostatic mixing valve
-Faulty anti-scald valve

The easiest way to confirm a cross connection is to: 1) shutoff the cold water entering the tankless heater 2) open hot water valves around the house. If you still have water flowing at your hot water fixtures, then you have a cross connection.

I have a HE3 and I would like to know why it had water in it this morning when I went to put laundry in it?

The first possibility is the water valve in the machine is not sealing and it dripped water through the valve into the machine since you last used it.(there are four solenoids on a mixing valve) Something may have lodged, valve may be going, may go away, may get worse, flood laundry room in rare cases.(suggest turning off the hot and cold water house lines between use at the shutoff where washer is connected)

Second is the pump did not pump out the water, but the clothes would not have spun out, not very likely by your description of problem .

Lastly low water pressure on your house line may have affected the valve shutting off, but this is also rare, again, shut off water to unit between use at house supply lines.(hot and cold)
good luck

I have a propane hot water tank that in discharging the hot water out the relief valve (Champion energy saver series)

possible problems not knowing age of unit the
control valve could be sticking open allowing gas to continue to flow until high limit is reached and shuts down valve another possible problem with the newer style back flow preventer being install by water companys the rapid heating and expansion of the water over pressures the water system causing releif valve to pop open and reclose most water heater manufacters are recommending instalation of an expansion tank to allow the growth in volume of water somewhere to go is valve constantly leaking or only during heating cycle if you could supply additional information does unit only leak when heating
or is steam expelled when releif valve opens
t-stat not opening gas valve sticking partially open
bad high limit bad pressure releif valve no expansion tank to allow for thermal expansion if steam is present and unit is boiling water inside replacement of water heater for safety concerns, would be reccomended if only water and pops couple of times water temp not over 140 degrees after most hot water has been used out of tank and is reheating most of capacity probably lack of expansion tank as the releif valve is the final safety device on a water heater is of great concern
the temp control gas valve or high limit are supposed to shut unit done long before the safety limit of releif valve is reached

Water not hot at the Symmons Safety Mix valve. Had plenty of hot water before I installed a new hot water heater. Now, it's not as hot. I turned up the temperature to about 130 degrees. Sometimes it is...

There might have been some sediment that came thru the water line after changing the water heater and got into the mixer valve. You may need to shut off the water and clean out the mixer valve assembly.

you could be having a problem elsewhere in house system! do you have a garden hose hooked up with a "Y" hose? or something in system were hot and cold connect...then a valve after? what happens is the hot water can back siphon through cold lines..its rare, but this happens, and is dangerous! water from hot water tank is full of bacteria, and if you drink it , well thats not good!
