Question about HP PhotoSmart C4280 Laser Printer

Thank you That is ok I am  very grateful for your help!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! the only other thing I would ask is...why would I have the wrong driver installed because I downloaded it off of the very CD that came with the printer??

Oh I have read about drivers going bad, and to tell the truth I have 4 different HP printers and a scanner, I have had to download all the drivers and software of their site for one reason or another. Seems to me that I read somewhere that they can become contaminated, but there again beyond my scope of expertise.

Well reinstalling the printer driver is really recommendable. But before reinstallation I strongly suggest that you remove the usb cable then uninstall existing driver. After uninstalling the driver please restart the pc then start the installation without the usb cord unless being asked.

try to give print

When trying to install a Lexmark x2600 printer i get a window that says no rpc server in windows xp


I used this solution:
start>run>type (net stop spooler)ok>type (sc config spooler depend= rpcss)ok>
type (net start spooler)ok.

This solution helped me solve a problem that I had been having for weeks. I read it somewhere on line (I don't remember where), but I'm grateful to the person who put it there. Thank you very much!

HP 3055 LASER JET ALLIN ONE


It is probably because you cant use the internet and phone on the same line. Ask your internet provider to provide you a broadband line where you can both make/recieve calls and use the internet at same time.
If you are from India, I believe there is a company called Airtel that provides this service.

I am going crazy...


Removing the software and reinstalling it using a "clean boot" may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. Booting clean is a way to eliminate programs from conflicting with installation of software.

1. Unplug the camera from the computer. Later you will be prompted by the software to plug in the camera; do so at that time only.
2. Open the Windows Control Panel.
3. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
4. Locate the listing for the software and remove it. When prompted to remove the camera drivers files, click Yes.

Now download the latest version of the software for your OS from the manufacturer's website.

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot'. I am assuming that you have XP. If you have a different OS, just let me know and I will send you the appropriate procedure to boot clean in that OS.

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next , do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Recently changed printer to a DCP-135C,can't get it to printout anything. can u help?


Hello Harpalis,

Have you installed the latest drivers for your new printer? Also make sure that you have uninstalled the previous printer's driver using the "Add/Remove Software" in Control Panel.

Once you have done this, make sure all cables are secure between printer and computer. Next make this as your default printer. Procedure as follows..

In Control Panel, go to printers and faxes. you should see your printer here. Just right click and choose "set as default printer". Sometimes your driver software will ask this during installation itself. You should be OK now...

HP 7210 OfficeJet All-in-One errors


My Hp came with a setup CD that has very specific (required) drivers. Truthfully, if you machine is using the wrong drivers for the selected printer, it will interpret the bi-directional communication with the printer wrong - as evidenced by the false "Paper Jam" message.

Here's a path to HP's drivers for the 72000 series printer and Mac OS.
