Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

Open Question

My Iitronics IMP-65 mp3 player crashed and formatted itself. It seems to B completely empty & has lost its driver. The disc provided only contains Win98 driver & I'm running XP. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to technology but I've been looking for a driver to download (though I'm not confident downloading yet so I hope it's easy!). Thanx. Debz

SOURCE: mp3 player no instructions

go to www.iriveramerica.com. click on support, then ultra portable support, then T10. download user manual. You should also be able to download a music manager for loading music onto your player from the website. Windows media player works well. you can also use Rhapsody.

I need to upload my music from a mac osx on to mp3 player imp-65

Both of you need to reformat your players, but the method is different for the Mac, than it is for the Windows-based machine. For windows:

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

INOVIX IMP-1112 MP3 crashing my computer.

sounds like bad news - if the flash (update to firmware) failed during update, the item is more than likely dead. Warranty return possible? Can you try another usb device on that same pc? just to verify the usb ports are working properly and supplying proper power to the devices.

iTune format will not play in a MP3 Player, you must first convert them to MP3 format.
