You are going to have to check that your firewire is being seen by windows 7 first of all. If not you will need to rectify that. When you do get it to recognize it, here is a link for an update to the program that came with your camcorder for it to work with Windows Vista but it should also work for Windows 7.
I have a Panasonic PV-GS9 mini DV Camcorder that is not recognized on my computer. I have windows Vista and I have it plugged in via my USB port but it doesn't recognize it and I do not have the disc. Please help me I have to put this recording in AVI format now.
I called Panasonic directly today & asked about the Vista driver
for the GS31. No such driver exists, but they are trying to develop a
driver specifically for Vista users of this camcorder. Finally the
mystery is correctly answered & solved for us Vista owners!
