Duplex printing problem HP 1320 TN

One of our customers use to prints in duplex mode without problem for a couple of rears. Now starts using papers with the company Logo. He has the following problem. If they print 2 pages in duplex mode the first page correspond to the page with Logo and the second page in the the reverse ( what he expects )but he has to change the orientation of the paper in the tray , If he prints only one page in duplex mode the first page is printed in the reverse side of the page. We have tried changing all the possible drives, but the problem remains. We tried with at least with three other printers of the same model with the same results.

We have tried changing all the possible drives,
Did you mean drive rollers or drivers?
Since you are seeing the problem with multiple printers, I don't think the printers are at fault but rather the Windows driver for them - have you tried deleting that printer from the system and letting Windows 'find' it again?  If not, go to the printers and faxes folder of the control panel, delete any listing of this printer model, make sure the printer is on and connected, then reboot the system. This should force Win to reinstall the driver for this unit.
If that didn't help, cruise the HP website and look for discussions or tech notes regarding this printer. I'm fairly sure you aren't the only victims.

Hi I hv installed hp laser jet 1320 printer in my system but print on both side option is not shown in printer property

Do you have the 1320D or just a 1320. Only the D version will duplex automatically. The base version requires you to manually duplex. If you are sure you have the duplex version, then check the settings in the print driver and make sure it shows that the duplex option is installed. The driver often defaults to no duplexer.

Can not print in duplex mode I can not print

Why don't you just print the data on the one side of the page and then simply turn the page over and reinsert it into the paper feeder and then print the next bit of data, therfore you end up with both sides of the page printed without worrying about printer commands that seem to fail.

When I am printing to my Laserjet 1320 in duplex mode the first pafge prints but when it pulls the page back in the paper gets stuck. Have looked inside the device and see no obvious broken parts. Any...

I believe on this particular model if you pull the try out and look at the top inside the tray area, there is a kinda bright green lever that you push in to open the duplex area. open the duplexor and look inside to see if something is stuck up in there. and you might want to get some rubber rejuvinator and clean all the rubber rolls you can see in the entire paper path... hope this helps and if so please mark as FixYa!!

The duplex printing function allows you to print data on both sides of a sheet of paper.
The procedure for performing duplex printing is as follows:
Performing automatic duplex printing
You can perform the duplex printing without having to turn over the paper.
1. Open the printer driver setup window, check the Duplex Printing check box, and confirm that Automatic is checked.

2. Select Normal-size Printing (or Fit-to-Page Printing, Scaled Printing or Page Layout Printing) from the Page Layout list.
3. When printing a document that has small margins, click Print Area Setup... and set the print area.
When you perform duplex printing, the print area of the document becomes slightly narrower than usual and the document may not fit on one page.

sub.gifTo print without reducing the page:
Select Use normal-size printing.
sub.gifTo reduce the page slightly during printing:
Select Use reduced printing.
4. Specify Staple Side.
The printer analyzes the Orientation and Page Layout settings, and automatically selects the best staple position. Check the Staple Side setting. If you want to change the setting, select another value from the list.

6. Click OK.
Duplex printing will be started.

HP 1320 duplex printing paper jam

Managed to solve this myself: I disassembled the printer and noticed there was a paper jammed in the duplex tray. Rolls were all ok, but the paper blocked the use of the duplex pathway. For disassembly help check the HP 1320 service manual, which you can find on the net as a PDF.

Duplex printing

The HP Laserjet 4+ does not have duplex capability built in; you'd need to purchase and attach the duplex unit (HP part number C3157A) to have that option.

Depending on your operating system, your driver may support a "manual duplex" mode in which you print one side, reload the paper, and then print the other side. You can also "fake" this from many applications (such as MS Office / OpenOffice) by telling it to print only even-numbered pages, then printing only odd-numbered pages.
