Also, make certain that you have a p-trap on the drain for the unit so condensation isn't being carried off of your evap coil and blown back up in your ductwork.

Make sure the unit is level or even off a little to the drain side. I have seen this cause this problem several times.

Our AC keeps cutting out. It runs for a few minutes then stops. have to switch off and restart. Any idea why? Have emptied water and cleaned filter recently

Look for:
  1. the ac needs air flow thru the indoor and outdoor radiators
  2. the outdoor radiator coil should get warm/hot and produce warm air.
  3. indoor radiator coil needs should get cold and produce cold air.
The ac needs the fan motor(s) working and compressor running and pumping. Compressor skinny copper line hot and thick line cold.

Built under fridge not getting cold

I assume you have a built in refrigerator that is not getting cold.
The most common issue with these units is a build up of dust and gunk on the evaporator coils.
To fix this you need to remove the unit and clean the coils and compressor area thoroughly. Usually a good brushing off with a SOFT BRISTLED brush will get the loose dust off of it. You may need to vacuum the area out and use a mild solution of soap and water to get it really clean. Plug it in after it is clean and dry and it should start cooling again. If that works you should do it yearly to insure good operation. This is one of the main reasons refrigerators and room AC units go bad. The cleaner you keep them the better they operate

Unit comes on and shut off correctly but dosen't heat and cool home equally. Blows cold air in winter and doesn't cool home properly in summer.

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV.If it's with heatingelement check power to element. If power is there but still no heat meanselement defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks. To get proper cool, keep the tips as follows:
1. Check air filter is cleaned. 2. Check indoor coil is cleaned. 3. Checkindoor blower motor is working. 4. Keep in cool mode. 5. Set temp minimum 3degrees less than room temp.6.Check compressor is working with correctpressure.
Thanks. Helpful?

Hi contractor replace air handler motor now 4 months later pop

The mildew smell could have been created by the clog, but it also could have been created by low airflow and/or refrigerants leaks that can cause your evaporator coil to ice up and melt inside your air handler.
The "Popping" sound sounds like it is either your ductwork or the casing or access panel of your air handler.
If you still have the original ductwork, it should be thoroughly inspected for air leaks and/or degradation insulation (insulated will degradate in time). Re-seal and Re-insulate if necessary.

Without being onsite, with toolbox in hand, I hope you find this information to be very helpful to you, moving forward. :-)

How do i top up the gas (R22) LG gold 12000btu

If it is not freezing up freon is ok. Make sure compressor is running. If humidity in house is high It will not feel as cold as it should until air drys out some. Do not try to run just after house heats up as it may never catch up. LEAVE ON a set stat to cycle. Window units have no customer acess fittings and would need to be installed. Then you need gauges to read pressures. this is not auto refrigerant. 90% of the time the outside coil is dirty and needs washed out. fan blows back through coil so build up is on fan side you can't see. You may be able wash with hose from side you can see with a 30 degree down angle going from top to bottom side to side. careful to not bend fins Also do not spray water into fan motor. Also some times coil is too dirty to clean without taking apart.
