Can i upgrade an Acer Aspire ZS600 23 inch Non Touch All-In-One PC

Yes you can! But you're going to have to open up the computer completely from the back, the Hard Drive and Ram are stored pretty much behind this casing. It should have about 2 slots only for ram, so it depends on a few things!

How much RAM do you currently have, is your system 86x(32) or 64x?

I hope this helps buddy :D

I installed 4 Gig of RAM memory but only 3.25 shows up.\r\nis there a test I can run to see if the memory cards are working correctly? Thanks. Paul

It sounds like you are running a 32 bit operating system XP, Vista, or Windows 7 (32).
The 32 bit Operating Systems are only able to see and use about 3Gb of RAM. To use a greater amount you will need a 64 bit OS (either Windows XP/64 or Windows 7/64) or one of the open source 64 bit operating systems.

Realtek high defination audio driver

Here's the link, (click here), open the link and select "I Accept the above" and click "Next". On the next page, you'll see all the available lists of the Audio codecs, click one of the "Go" corresponding to your operating system's name i.e. windows xp (32 bit or 64 bit), save the file and install it.

But you have to install Microsoft UAA Bus driver for High Definition Audio, before the Realtek Driver, (click here to download)

Without installing Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio, you'll never be able to install the Realtek High Definition Audio driver.

If you need further help, let me know. Good luck.

This computer is 32 bits or 64 bits ?

If the system is "As Was", the operating system installed is Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic i.e. 32 bit in your case.
If you wanna know how to find out the bit version of your system, follow the simple steps below:
Start > Run (or Windows Key + R) and type in "msinfo32.exe" [without quotation], wait for few seconds, a new window with the name "System Information" will open, by default the "system summary" will be displayed once it's opened, now on the right pane, look at the lists available and locate "System Type" (as shown below), look at the corresponding value, if it starts with "x86..." then the system is 32 bit and if it starts with "x64..." then the system is 64 bit.

Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Can not load drivers do not have disks tried to down load from the net.

Maybe you're using a wrong set of drivers. Try to distinguish your operating system first to install the right set of drivers.

For example in Windows XP 32Bit is differ from Windows XP 64Bit Set of Drivers.

View System Information
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. Type winmsd.exe, and then click OK.
  3. When System Summary is selected in the navigation pane, locate Processor under Item in the details pane. Note the value.
* If the value that corresponds to Processor starts with x86, the computer is running a 32-bit version of Windows.

* If the value that corresponds to Processor starts with ia64 or AMD64, the computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows.

vista does not work with vista compatible stuff. lol. just make sure u have the right driver and best place to find one is manufacturer site. it will tell you ether 64 bit or 32 bit vista drivers. make sure u first remove old ones so there is no compatibility issue. if it shows 86x it is same as 32bit. good luck.

IE 32-bit browser need to run on my 64-bit browser

Hi buddy323,

You will find the 32 bit browser on your Vista installation disk. Or your restore CD from Dell.

If you can't find it there, you can download it HERE. Or may want to go for the IE version 8.

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.

Thanks Mark

Like pnetiums it has 64 bit capability but you probably are running it in 32-bit mode because you have a 32-bit OS installed.
