The n60fn uses two triggers, rapid fire trigger (black metal) is pictued with your post and does not need a spring. Just replace the 3 mm roll pin that holds trigger to the body of the gun and you should be good to go. The other trigger is the white plastic sequential. The discoloration problem is due to the near by magnetic field appliances like speakers which are very near to monitors ... so what you have to do is just keep some distance to the monitor from the speakers and other magnetic appliances and then press menu button & just give degauss..
put your camera mode in t "P" setting then go to menu & you should see color or pictue options to switch the color back to color....i have a cybershot dsc-w55 idk what u have but try that .... GOOD LUCK !
call Fuji and tell them that you would like to send in your Finepix to see if the cheap/defective SCR chip was used in your model. If so, they will fix for free.
This is quite a common problem on LCD televisions.

One of the transformers on the inverter board will be the cause as the tend to go open circuit. Being surface mounted adds to the dificulty of changing this item as well.
