Re: Kenmore front loading HE3t time light blinks add item...
Remove the lock switch by taking the metal spring ring off from around the tub gasket. Then pull the gasket out on the right side to reveal the switch. Remove screws above and below switch on right side. Unplug 3 leads and remove switch. Carefully pry up the 6 tabs on the switch while it is laying flat on a table... It's tricky but you will get it. Careful not to over pry the tabs or they will break. You will see some contact points. Make sure they are not touching. One set of mine were together as if they came out if their channel. Once they are separated snap the assembly together and reinstall the switch, gasket and spring ring. Make sure the spring is on the bottom. This fixed my issue and saved me a 80 dollar switch replacement. Not sure why this happened after 10 years of using it but it solved the problem.

My Kenmore Elite HE3 has been great for many years, and now I have a little problem for the first time.
I can usually press cancel to change the program. This morning, after I selected one program and press cancel, it won't cancel. Lights just blinked. So, I press Start to wash with selected program, but it won't start. It won't start nor cancel no matter what I do.
Should I unplug the unit?
Thank you so much!

This is what an HF code is.

washer or disconnect power.

Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer clogged?
Are water inlet hoses kinked?
Are water inlet hoses frozen?
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press
START. If the problem remains, call for service.
sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there
With a heavy blanket you probably have an out-of-balance condition which doesn't let the machine spin out and drain. This would keep the door lock from opening. Try hitting the Stop button twice. This should cancel the cycle and let the door lock open after a little while. Then either redistribute the load or add some items and run a Spin and Drain cycle.
