I'm thinking of purchase a Palm T/X handheld,Model: T/X SKU: 7478482 for my husband and just want to be sure it will work on his computers. The desk top he is using runs on Microsoft Vista and the laptop is an Apple using OS 10.5.4. Will this work on these systems?

Re: Is MAC OS 10.5.4 compatible with
Palm was having trouble supporting but there is a new desktop available for the TX on Vista as well as Apple OS X. I don't know how well that machine will sync to both desktops though. It's probably a good idea to sync it on one machine or the other.

its prob'ly caused by an app which is not fully compatible with palm os.... remove your mem.card, and sim then, hard reset... thats what i did, my treo 650 kept on restarting after i installed gizmo.... try it and get back to me....
The PalmTX comes with the Palm operating system (Palm OS Garnet 5.4) and does not run Windows software. To run programs that you run on your Windows computer you would need a Windows Mobile device. However, there are MANY free and low cost programs out there for your Palm. Try PalmFreeware.com to get yourself started. You can also check out sites like ePinions.com and C|Net.com for reviews of Palm software that you're thinking about purchasing.
Dear Toda ;]
Get an anti virus for palm os and run it, then reload the palm software.
another thing to try that worked on a different device is to rename the Back-up folder to Old-Back or some other name. Do a hotsync. This usually works.
Then open your old-back folder and install the programs and data to the handheld. Then do a final hot sync.
Hope this helps.
