Thank you so much for your help.
I own a 1998 Hitachi model no. 60EX38B serial no. V8E001713
As I was watching the TV the picture and sound went out.
The next day I turned it on and after an hour it went out again and has not come on since.
I have no video or sound. Would you be so kind and explain what could possibly the problem before I go to the exspence of any costly repairs with the TV being it's age.

Eagerly await your reply
Thank you for all your help

Installed new lamp. When powered up blue solid light and yellow blinking light (15x) , tv would torn off and on several times trying to light lamp. Once that failed red blinking light and yellow solid...

Hi Genaro,

Blue led light lit solid and yellow led light flashes is an initial attempt of the set to re-light the lamp.Red led flashes and yellow led light solid means that the lamp won't light up that's why it only has sound without the picture.
Since you've replaced the lamp twice and still the symptoms persist, I suspected that the fault came from the ballast board and not on the lamp itself. If the ballast board gone to malfunction, there's no high voltage will produce to light up the lamp and will sensed by the processor and trigger the error code (Flashes/solid led light with color code).

To verify whether the ballast board is faulty or not, check if the lamp will lit by looking through the lamp door louvers at the rear of the cabinet upon turning on the set.
Please let me know what you will find to assist you further.

Hello.
It looks like you ignored lamp replacement in your TV. It have to be replaced every 2.5 years of average use. It's like oil change in a car. Regular scheduled service.
You can read info about lamp replacement in your TV owner's manual, buy lamp on-line and replace it by yourself to save some money.
Regards.

THE TV PICTURE KEEPS GOING BLANK THEN COMES BACK ON ALL BY ITSELF. THERE IS A GREEN LIGHT FLASHING, NO RED LIGHT.

This is symptom of weak lamp in TV.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
If not, replace lamp in TV to fix this issue.
Lamp light does not lit solid if lamp is not broken or dead.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and would written in user manual.
Thanks.

Heard a pop, tv went off, then doesnt come back on

Your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur. The sound is it starting up, shutting down, over and over.

You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

Mitsubishi WD-65733 no picture, electrical buzzes in series

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.

Red power light and buzzing sound with red lamp light.

My Sony lost its picture and had a flashing light. Unplugging for 36 hours solved the problem.
